Carey Votes to Pass Partial Government Funding Package, Secures Resources for Ohio Projects

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Mike Carey (R-Ohio-15), a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, voted to pass a 3-bill partial government funding package to partially fund the government for Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26). The package includes the following appropriations bills: Energy and Water; Interior; and Commerce, Science, and Justice (CJS). These bills now go the U.S. Senate where they will need to pass with 60 votes before being signed into law by President Trump.

Included in this package is funding for several projects across Franklin and Fayette Counties secured directly by Rep. Carey.

“Today marks another step to fund the government in a bipartisan way and prevent another costly government shutdown. This legislative package will fund critical initiatives that unleash American energy, build strong local and national infrastructure, and keep Americans safe. I was proud to support this package and the millions of dollars coming to our district for projects I directly advocated for that will improve our communities,” Rep. Carey said.
