The Congressional District Office Internship Program gives college students a unique opportunity to see how Congress works up close. An internship in the district offices is a great opportunity for students to serve constituents’ needs and gain valuable work experience.
Responsibilities of a District Office Intern:
- Handling constituent communications including phone calls, mail, emails and greeting constituents at the front desk
- Assisting with district office events
- Performing a variety of duties, such as conducting research, filing and updating databases
