WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Mike Carey (R-Ohio-15), a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, released the following statement after the House of Representatives passed the joint budget resolution to unlock the next stage of the reconciliation process:
“Today’s vote marks a big step forward in delivering on the promises of extending the 2017 tax cuts, enshrining border security into law, and unleashing America’s vast energy resources,” Rep. Carey said. “While there is still work to do before we send a bill to President Trump’s desk, the House and Senate can now work together on advancing our priorities of tax relief, border security, and energy dominance for Ohio working families. I look forward to getting it done.”
Yesterday, Rep. Carey spoke in favor of the bill on the House floor. His remarks can be found here.
